 Now
that I have six grandchildren (and three daughters) I find I have less and less time to
scrapbook as it is so important to me to build relationships and that means time spent
with them. I am finding it helpful to do smaller albums using fewer photos, though I do
store or give away the other photos. I also really appreciate the gratification of seeing
these albums finished.
I continue to work on the birth-to-now
albums for my grandchildren but worry less about what isn't done. The photos are organized and stored. Right? Whatever
gets done is a gift and, of course, a joy.
My scrapbooking style is orderly, on the
simpler side and I like interesting little touches. I still aspire to Becky Higgins,
Stacey Julian (The Big Picture) and continue to follow Rebecca Sower's Sharing the Story
articles in CK. Her journaling is lovely. I am
also inspired by the work of Faye Morrow Bell, Ali Edwards and Lisa Brown Caveney (all
CK).
I like to read mysteries, listen to NPR,
watch 60 minutes, eat breakfast out, and am grateful for all that nature provides us. My car is my all time favorite tool next to
everything MM. I love to use ribbon, rub-ons and all those little 3-D things which are
just great for the smaller albums. Heidi Swapp
is a favorite and Creative Imaginations always provides us terrific new artists' work.
